About Berkshire Scout Enterprises

Berkshire Scout Enterprises Limited (BSEL) offers services to the community in the Berkshire area and to Scouting at a local, national, and international level.

The core activities of the company are providing Training; Management; and Facilities; for the Third (voluntary) Sector as well as support for those unemployed and with disabilities.

The company manages government-funded contracts. Currently this includes: Future Jobs Fund; Train to Gain (NVQs); Training for your Future; IT 4 UResponse to Redundancy; and Berkshire Young People's Project.

The company also manages, facilitates and administers professional support to local Scouting, including the employment of a Local Development Officer (LDO); a County Scout Administrator; as well as offering courses and support for First Response; MiDAS; and the DofE Award Scheme. The company also actively supports community projects in Africa and other countries, for example Project Africa.

BSEL is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, having a membership base for those who support their work. In order to continue and improve the services, the company is seeking additional members and/or volunteers to help, so that the company can expand and offer greater support.
